I’m watching this from Australia unfold live. My heart bleeds seeing these hideous shootings, innocent people going about their daily lives killed for what, wrong place wrong time. I just cannot get my head around why these shocking events are occurring, I thought we were better?— Stewart Lopez (@StewartLopez14) April 16, 2021
Eight more families devastated by gun violence. They will be traumatized for the remainder of their lives because someone with no self control was able to get a gun & murder their loved ones. I'm speaking from experience. It's been 60 years & a day doesn't go by that I forget.— Diane E ☮🐝♍😷 (@thebluefuschia) April 16, 2021
We gotta ban guns outright and send guys with guns to go confiscate them 😤— Give Me 🗽 Or Give Me ☠ (@Dostovel1) April 16, 2021
Honestly starting to lose track of the innocent people dying from police deaths and mass shootings.— N8 (@__NAT3__) April 16, 2021
Before knowing more about the details but my condolences to the family of the mass killing victims. Each time there is a mass killing, I am angry at lawmakers who said they would do something, yet I saw no meaningful actions other than talk and talk!— A-T (@anhluat) April 16, 2021
On the evening news, a story about a shooting in Indianapolis at a FedEx facility. Authorities have said that “the public is not in danger.”— James Morrison (@JamesPMorrison) April 16, 2021
Let that sink in.
Because, well, it’s insane.
Came back from running errands to the news about the shooting at the Indianapolis FedEx Ground facility. I worked for FedEx Express for 7 years, and my thoughts go out to the hardworking FedEx employees who lost their lives, to those injured, and to their families.— L3L4ND SHOULD BE WRITING (@Leland_Lydecker) April 16, 2021
As a 3rd shift Fedex worker in Peoria,IL I am sick to my stomach. I am thinking about my facility and my coworkers and what would we do in that situation. My heart and my prayers go out to Indianapolis.— 🦋KelCono 🦋 (@KelCono924) April 16, 2021

A country of dangerous idiots
According to the Associated Press, a gunman opened fire at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis late on Thursday evening.
When officers arrived at the scene just after 11 pm local time, it was an active shooter situation, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Genae Cook said during a media briefing.
An eyewitness reported seeing the male gunman getting an automatic rifle from the back of his car before going inside the FedEx facility...

And he recalled as cars frantically began to drive away in the parking lot, the gunman started firing at the cars as well as the innocent people inside the building.
Another eyewitness, who happens to work at the facility, told local media they saw a body on the floor, while another said they heard ten shots before alerting law enforcement.
It is understood by the Daily Mail that FedEx employees are not allowed to use their cell phones on the floor of the warehouse and would have been unable to easily dial 911 during the attack.
It has been confirmed that at least 8 people have been killed...
And multiple others have been seriously injured from the ruthless attack.
"This is very heartbreaking," Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer Genae Cook told reports at around 3 am today, just hours after the shooting.

Law enforcement officials in Indianapolis are working a "mass casualty situation," according to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Spokesperson Officer Genae Cook.https://t.co/isPNOWspwF
"We have located 8 people at the scene with injuries consistent to gunshot wounds. Those 8 were pronounced deceased at the scene. This is a tragedy."
The gunman is yet to be identified and it is currently unknown as to whether or not he was an employee at the FedEx facility.
But police have confirmed that he took his own life by shooting himself following the rampage.
Cook said the gunman was believed to have been acting alone...
And there is no longer an "active threat to the community."
She then encouraged anyone who was at the scene to contact the local police, or for those working in the facility to contact their supervisor to let them know if they are safe.
FedEx has called the shooting "tragic" in a statement, adding:
"We are aware of the tragic shooting at our FedEx Ground facility near the Indianapolis airport. Safety is our top priority, and our thoughts are with all those who are affected. We are working to gather more information and are cooperating with investigating authorities."
This terrible event is sadly the latest in a string of mass shootings across the United States...
In March alone, 8 people were shot dead in a seemingly racially motivated attack in Atlanta, and another ten were killed in a supermarket mass shooting in Colorado.
Rest in Peace to all of those who have lost their lives in mass shootings this year.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families affected by these terrible tragedies.
This is a developing story and updates will be posted accordingly.
