Now, upon the sad news, people from all around the world were left shocked and saddened by Adam's untimely death.

Now, there's no denying that we all know Adam Perkins best for his iconic Vine video, "Welcome to Chili's."

The Vine video, that showed Adam mocking the tagline for a series of ads for the restaurant chain Chili's, went viral in 2015 and turned the teenager into a local celebrity.

The Vine gained over twenty million loops in a year and inspired a series of parodies and remixes...

And Adam, along with his twin brother Patrick, would often entertain their followers with Vine videos made together.

The brothers went on to pursue different paths...

With Adam becoming a business analyst and Patrick graduating from NYU with a degree in music composition.

Adam was also involved in his very own band and released his own music in 2018.

But of course, the young man continued to hold a strong social media following...

With almost 50,000 followers on Instagram alone.

But in more recent times, tragedy struck.

Patrick took to Instagram to announce that his brother had sadly died at the age of twenty-four on April 11th.

"My brother, Adam Perkins, passed away this previous Sunday, 4-11-21," he wrote in an emotional statement.

He then wrote:

"I can't even really put into words what this loss means for me. I'm often asked the question, 'what's it like to be a twin?' and my response is usually, 'what's it like to NOT be a twin?' Being a twin is a very central part of my identity. It's all I've known. And I'm struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world without him. My best friend."

"I love you, my best friend Adam."

He also wrote in his Instagram story, 'In this time of mourning, I am comforted to know how many people he touched. The kindest human I know."

Adam's ex-boyfriend, Kelton Elliott, also shared a tribute on Instagram.

"This past weekend my forever best friend and ex-boyfriend passed, and I've been devastated," he wrote.

"Me and him discussed how we'd want to be remembered after we died, and he said he'd like to be remembered for his art, his music. The second slide is a screenshot of Redwood Reverie, the track on Spotify he most liked sharing with his coworkers and friends. Last week he was working on more to release. Give his music a listen, and know that the artist was loved so so so much. The link in my bio takes you to his Spotify."

People have, of course, been curious as to what caused Adam's untimely death...

But his twin brother has just announced that the cause of death will not be disclosed to the public.

Taking to his Instagram stories in response to fans, Patrick repeatedly declined to reveal how his brother died.

In one response, Patrick wrote, "Think I need to take this opportunity to explain something to you: If the cause of death is not released, there is a reason... There is intention in every part of this. Please respect both of us by not asking that question... not sure how it's not obvious that I didn't say for a reason. Everything in this is intentional. Please respect that."

In another response, Patrick assured followers:

"While I won't go into specifics, I can assure you that he went just about as peacefully as you can."

Truly heartbreaking.

Rest in Peace, Adam.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family during this terrible time.
