Now, Biden's inauguration has been highly anticipated since his election victory back in November.

It's been a rollercoaster few months in the world of U.S politics, to say the least.

Biden's win on November 7th was a historic one.

Not only because Biden broke Barack Obama's record for the most votes cast for a presidential candidate, but also because vice president-elect, Kamala Harris, will be the first-ever woman of color to be elected in office. Simply amazing.

Of course, President Donald Trump didn't take to this news well, at all...

And after continuously claiming the entire election was "a fix" and that he was the actual winner, Trump recently declared that he won't be attending Biden's inauguration - something that didn't come as a surprise to many.

Biden, on the other hand, accepted his win graciously...

And the president-elect, along with his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has been celebrating along with the rest of the country.

And last week, Biden officially announced his inauguration theme.

America United!

"At a time of unprecedented crisis and deep divisions, America United reflects the beginning of a new national journey that restores the soul of America, brings the country together, and creates a path to a brighter future," a statement from the transition team read.

In addition to the theme, 2 Inauguration Day events were also announced...

In his first act as president, Biden will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery.

He will be joined by first lady Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, and her husband, Doug Emhoff...

As well as former POTUS's, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton.

As well as Hillary Clinton, will also participate.

The inaugural committee also plans to install an art display on the National Mall.

The "Field of Flags" will include 191,500 American flags, representing the Americans who couldn't be at the celebration.

There's even an option to become a "symbolic sponsor" of the flag display.

With all proceeds going to a group of nonprofit organizations decided by the committee.

"This inauguration marks a new chapter for the American people — one of healing, of unifying, of coming together, of an America united. It is time to turn the page on this era of division."

"The inaugural activities will reflect our shared values and serve as a reminder that we are stronger together than we are apart, just as our motto 'e pluribus unum' reminds us — out of many, one," Biden inauguration CEO Tony Allen said.

The ceremony will be scaled-down at the US Capitol...

Because of not only the continuing coronavirus pandemic, but because of the horrifying riots that took place at Capitol Hill on January 6th.

It was then revealed that there will be another inaguration event titled, Celebrating America, hosted by the one and only Tom Hanks.

The ninety-minute event is going to be hosted by the A-Lister and will feature a whole array of celebrities including Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, and Demi Lovato.

It will be available to watch across major television networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN.

It's also expected to stream on various online outlets and the Presidential Inaugural Committee's social media feeds.

Tony Allen, Presidential Inaugural Committee said this:

"This inauguration presents a unique opportunity to spotlight the resilience and spirit of an America United. We have witnessed countless heroes this past year step up to the frontlines and serve their fellow Americans, so we are telling their stories, spreading their collective light, and celebrating the best of our country and its people with this primetime program."

And then came another announcement...

The Biden-Harris inaugural committee confirmed to Variety that Lady Gaga, a loyal Biden supporter, will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" for Biden's swearing-in ceremony.

This typically begins around 11:30 a.m. ET on the West front of the U.S. Capitol...

According to Variety, also in line to take to the stage for the ceremony: Jennifer Lopez will perform; Andrea Hall, a career firefighter, will lead in the Pledge of Allegiance; Amanda Gorman, the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate will recite a poem; an invocation will be delivered by Father Leo O'Donovan, and a benediction by Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman, both longtime friends of the Biden family.

Gaga has since confirmed the news on her Instagram.

"I am deeply honored to be joining @BidenInaugural on January 20 to sing the National Anthem and celebrate the historic inauguration of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris!" she wrote.
