This month saw the news of R. Kelly finally facing the consequences of his multiple years of abuse. But disgraced comedian Bill Cosby has now offered his opinion on the news.
R. Kelly may be facing 10 years to life following his highly publicized trial.
Survivors around the world rejoiced at the news - but it seems Bill Cosby wasn't happy with the news.
Cosby believes Kelly may be able to overturn the charges he's facing.
His spokesman, Andrew Wyatt, told the New York Post that Cosby believes Kelly "was screwed" and that "he wasn't going to catch a break."
"The deck was stacked against Robert," Wyatt continued.
"His constitutional rights were grossly abused. I don't know anywhere but in this country in the United States that a documentary can bring criminal charges against someone."
"He also didn't have the resources and means," Wyatt said. "He should have asked for support from the court. He would have gotten better representation."
Wyatt also spoke to TMZ about the case.
He claims Cosby says: "The man was railroaded."
However, it seems the general public opinion is not with Cosby.
"Cosby shouldn't be giving his speaking on the matter. Unless R. Kelly gets let out early due to a "technicality" like Cosby himself. Both shameful how these men and others use and abuse their power for horrible things," wrote one Facebook commenter.
Another agreed, adding: "I can't even begin to express how angry this makes me. Are we really giving value to any of Bill Cosby's opinions regarding sexual misconduct?! This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read."
Do you agree?
