Behind fellow billionaires Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, and Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos who secured first place with an estimated worth of $201 billion.

Don't be fooled though, Gates' position on the list might have dropped over the last year, but his wealth certainly hasn't.

In fact, his estimated fortune has grown by a staggering $23 billion from this time year, placing his estimated worth at a mind-blowing $134 billion.

Forbes reported that Gates' drop in position could be due to his recent divorce from his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates.

The couple announced their separation back in May and since then a portion of Gates' fortune, including an estimated $5.7 billion worth of shares in publicly traded companies, has been handed over to Melinda. The outlet reports that had the pair not divorced, Gates' fortune would place him at number 3 in the list, pushing Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg down to 4th.

Fortunately for Gates, he might have dropped a few ranks on the list, but he's still in a very good position if you ask us.

And at least he wasn't in the same position as Donald Trump who dropped so far down the list he no longer ranks on it. Big yikes.
