After many years of Brendan Fraser seemingly off our screens, he is ready to come back in a huge way.
Fraser has had struggles since his rise to prominence in the late 90s, having detailed to GQ how he was allegedly sexually abused by a former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), back in 2003.
Despite holding steady work in TV and movies, he never really reigned as supremely as he once did when he starred as Rick O'Connell in The Mummy franchise. Fraser has speculated that after rejecting the advances of the president, he then used his influence to make sure the actor never reached those heights again.
However, the fifty-two-year-old has landed some huge upcoming roles, working with none other than the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro in Martin Scorsese's new film Killers of the Flower Moon.
After it was announced Fraser would be working with some of the top names in the business (again), it was a sigh of relief to many fans who have followed his journey for more than 2 decades now.
Thankfully, one fan was able to tell him about the love and admiration his fan base has for him, and it made him very emotional.
Having bought a meet-and-greet package with the star, TikToker Lindley, known as @littlelottiecosplay, had the chance to let Fraser know everyone was rooting for him.
"I'm going to work with Scorsese and Leo and Bob DeNiro," Fraser said to Lindley, before adding that he was very anxious about working with such a big trio.
However, Lindley took the plunge that all of us have wanted to take and said: "You've got this. You've got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We're so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we're rooting for you. And we can't wait to see what you do next."
Not to be caught off guard, the actor takes a swig of water but is unable to hide the fact that the words clearly meant a lot to him. It's okay, Brendan, I'm crying too.
“Shucks, ma’am!” 🥰🥰🥰 Adding to the Brendan love from earlier today. #brendanfraser #themummy #mummytok #rickoconnell
After their chat, Lindley confirmed that the actor is the "purest soul", and although that's never really been in question, it is nice to have confirmation.
Posting their chat to Instagram, she wrote: "Thank you @galaxyconlivefor making this dream come true. THE MUMMY has been such a huge part of my life, so being able to meet Brendan Fraser is a memory I will treasure forever.
"And if anyone needs proof that this man is the purest of souls, here it is! He came ready with a rose, a hat-change, and as soon as he saw what I was wearing, he said 'Evie, the years have been good to you!'
"Just the sweetest man, and pardon my awkwardness, but I wanted to let him know how much the internet loves him, in case he was not already aware."
We're all rooting for you, Brendan.
