Rapper DMX was recently rushed to hospital having reportedly suffered a drug overdose and heart attack. After several days on life support, he fell into a coma and tragically passed away last week.
Tributes have been pouring in for the star - including one adorable story from co-star Gabrielle Union.
DMX was one of the most influential rappers of all time.
Born in 1970, DMX began releasing his first tunes in the early 90s.
He released his best-selling album, ... And Then There Was X, in 1999.
Which included the hit song, "Party Up (Up in Here)."
Since his debut, DMX released 7 studio albums.
And cemented himself into the hip hop hall of fame forever.
The rapper also appeared in numerous films.
Including action thrillers Romeo Must Die (2000), Exit Wounds (2001), and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003).
But DMX had many battles through his life.
Many of which were related to substance abuse.
He'd been to rehab many times.
His last stint was back in 2019...
After that he made a powerful return to the stage.
Where he told fans: "When you fall down, get back up, everyone here has been through some s**t and you never know what God is willing to do for you until you need him to do something for you."
But some tragic news recently emerged.
The news that DMX had suffered a suspected overdose.
The alleged overdose occurred on Friday April 2nd.

It's been reported that the drug overdose took place at around 11pm Friday evening.
According to TMZ, the overdose triggered a heart attack.
He was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York.
Rumors began circulating online in regards to the rapper's condition.
It was initially reported by some outlets that DMX had been taken off life support but his attorney Murray Richman later said he was misinformed, confirming he was still in "grave condition" after suffering a heart attack at home at around 11 pm on Friday 2 April.
It a statement issued by his family, they said: "We are issuing this statement to combat all the false and misleading reports that are circulating on social media."
"Last night Earl 'DMX' Simmons was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home.
"At this time he remains in ICU in critical condition. Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must cross."
"The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music has been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world."
"It is reassuring to see his fans return that same passion and energy to him during his time of need."
As he remained on life support, tributes began rolling in.
Members of the Ruff Ryders motorcycle club, developed by DMX in the early 2000s, gathered at the hospital where DMX was.

A FOX5 reporter was outside the hospital on Sunday when the group of bikers arrived.
But on Friday, tragic news emerged.
DMX had passed away after falling into a coma.
Many were heartbroken by the news and stories of the star began rolling in.
Including one very sweet story from past co-star Gabrielle Union.
Union starred alongside DMX in 2003's Cradle 2 the Grave.
And the pair struck up a strong friendship.
But an anecdote she recently shared has the internet's heart feeling warm.
Union recalled going to fetch DMX from his trailer and him inviting her in for a drink.
And weirdly enough, he was sat watching The Golden Girls.
"This s**t is funny!" Union recalls him saying.
The pair would watch the show together and "laugh hysterically."
