A TikTok-famous doctor has shared a picture test that determines whether you're sleep deprived or not...

And it's woken up so many sleepy eyes!

Now, we all know how important it is to get a good night's sleep...

But for many of us, getting a good few hours of sleep in every night is harder than it looks.

A whole range of factors can contribute to a bad night's sleep...

Including work schedules, studying, having children, and even psychological issues such as insomnia.

There's nothing quite as painstaking as being sleep deprived...


And it can well and truly take over a person's life.

But thankfully, there are remedies and experts out there that can help exhausted individuals get some much-needed sleep...


And Dr. Karan Rajan is one of those experts.

Dr. Rajan has gained millions of viewers with his informative videos on TikTok and other social media platforms...

Many of which provide his top tips and tricks to get a better night's rest.

One of his most recent videos, titled "Take this sleep deprivation test!", has been watched more than 3.5 million times...

And it gives viewers an indication as to whether a lack of sleep is affecting their perception skills and overall concentration.

Well, people's minds have been blown by the test...


And it turns out that so many of us are actually sleep deprived... we just haven't realized it!

With the image flashing black every second or two.

Dr. Rajan explains:


"Take a look at this scene. If you're not sleeping enough you will experience very short blackouts called microsleeps and these can make you miss things right in front of your eyes. Did you notice the bus changing color, or the disappearing buildings? Or the kid running towards the street?"

He then said:

"If you need an alarm clock to wake you up in the mornings, or fall asleep within five minutes of getting into bed, or need coffee or energy drinks to keep you up during the day, you might want to spend more time in bed."

​The doctor then provided a trick that might be able to help those struggling to sleep in a follow-up video.

He said that going to sleep in poorly ventilated rooms can raise the level of carbon dioxide, which in turn can disrupt your sleep. So, he advises keeping a window open - which also drops the temperature of your body, telling your brain that it's time to sleep.

And, of course, avoid electronics in the hour before you go to bed.
