It seems as though Elon Musk has gone crazy with power, after becoming the world's richest man once again...
Elon musk has surpassed Jeff Bezos as the world's richest man for the second time, and he isn't going to let Bezos forget about it.
According to Forbes, the SpaceX CEO is now worth over $200 billion as of Tuesday, making him the 3rd person in the world to ever reach that milestone.
Bezos was officially the first person to reach $200 billion last year, as Amazon profits soared during the pandemic.
However, he was briefly surpassed by Bernard Arnault, the CEO of French luxury brands Moët Hennessy and Louis Vuitton, back in August, albeit only for a short amount of time.
Musk swiped the title from Bezos, who he has also been in competition with over their space exploration quests.
Now, as per Forbes, Musk plans to celebrate in the pettiest way possible: "I'm sending a giant statue of the digit '2' to Jeffrey B., along with a silver medal," Musk wrote in an email to the outlet.
This may have been a swipe at Bezos for his protest against NASA giving Space X a $2.9 billion contract in an effort to take humans on the moon.
“I think he should put more of his energy into getting into orbit rather than lawsuits...You can not sue your way to the moon," @elonmusk at #CodeCon talking to @karaswisher about his thoughts on Jeff Bezos contesting SpaceX's work with NASA. pic.twitter.com/hAljfhVYeE— Pivot Podcast (@PivotPod) September 28, 2021
In response to Bezos' protest at the time, Musk posted on Twitter, writing: "Can't get it up (to orbit) lol."
The pair have been in a constant battle over the title of the world's richest man and have each achieved the accolade multiple times.
However, Musk appears set on securing his position at the top of the billionaire leader board after announcing his "present" to Bezos.
