After Facebook experienced a huge outage for more than 6 hours today, they've finally offered a response.

People went for more than 6 hours without Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

In the most modern problem to ever occur, users were left a bit lost without the content sharing and messaging abilities Facebook, Insta and WhatsApp offer.

Facebook's chief technology officer Mike Schroepfer offered some insight into the crash.

He took to Twitter to give updates.

It was apparently due to "networking issues".

"Facebook services coming back online now - may take some time to get to 100%," he said. "To every small and large business, family, and individual who depends on us, I'm sorry."

He offered apologies to those who were affected.

"To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we're sorry."

Before confirming the site should be back up and fully running soon.

"We've been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us."
