Man 'Proves' The Earth Is Flat With Spirit Level on a Plane | 22 Words

A Flat-Earther tried to prove that the Earth is flat with a spirit level on a plane and of course, people really aren't convinced.

Now, the Flat Earth Society is perhaps one of the most bizarre conspiracies our world has ever seen...

Because basically, those who are part of the Flat Earth Society claim to believe the Earth is flat, rather than spherical.

Their reasoning behind their theory is pretty basic...

Walking around on the planet's surface looks and feels flat... therefore it must be flat.

They then deem all evidence that suggests otherwise as "fake."

You know, the images of our planet and the rest of the solar system? Well, they're all a result of some very adept photoshopping... apparently.

And, on top of their beliefs regarding the flatness of our planet...

They also preach a whole host of bizarre ideologies, such as the fact that the sun isn't millions of miles away but is incredibly close and local.

And they have also shut down every credible source.

According to the Flat Earth Society, NASA is merely a hoax company run by clowns and every mission into space has been a very well set-up deception.

Obviously, most of us simply laugh at this barbarity...

But there are a surprisingly high number of Flat-Earthers out there!

A poll conducted in 2018 asked 8,215 respondents, “Do you believe that the world is round or flat," and a staggering 2 percent of the chose “I have always believed the world is flat."

Unbelievable.

It's almost laughable, right?

But still, to this very day, thousands of people claim to be a part of the Flat Earth Society...

When will they learn?!

Well, it seems that some simply never will...

And the most recent Flat-Earther made the biggest fool out of himself when he tried to prove the Earth was flat with a spirit level... while on a plane.

Of course, people have been left cringing over the man's ignorance and stupidity...

Facebook

Darryle Marble, from the Flat Earth Offensive, spends a lot of his time trying to convince others how flat the Earth really is...

YouTube

So much so, that he decided to take a spirit level on a plane back in 2017 to see if the bubble moved... and of course, he recorded the entire thing.

"This is very simple," Marble explained in his YouTube video...

YouTube

"I fly fairly regularly and one thing that anyone can do to determine that the Earth is flat is to grab $10, go to your local hardware store, and pick up one of these spirit levels."

Marble argued that due to curvature math, the plane should be flying with its nose "constantly dipped forward" in order to compensate for the curvature.

YouTube

The Flat-Earther then explained that he recorded a twenty-three minute and forty-five second time-lapse, which by those measurements means the plane traveled a little over 203 miles.

He explained:

YouTube

"According to curvature math given to explain the globe model, this should have resulted in the compensation of 5 miles of curvature. As you'll see there was no measurable compensation for curvature."

Marble seems to think that this definitely proves that the Earth is flat...

Although scientific experts continue to prove people like Marble wrong.

For instance, Lee McIntyre - a published author and a Research Fellow at the Center for Philosophy and History of Science at Boston University - spoke to Bored Panda and explained the so-called logic that these Flat-Earthers hold.

"They are to be commended for actually trying to test their hypothesis, but of course they don't understand at all how science actually works."

Unsplash

"Specifically, they are ignorant of gravitational pull," he explained, "One of their main arguments was that if the Earth was spinning the water would fall off. Do they not understand that gravitational pull comes from the center, is based on mass, and works on water too?"
