They start spending less time with mom and dad and more time with their friends...

But for teens who live near one Florida mall, that's no longer an option...

As new rules have been introduced meaning "children under the age of 16 will not be able to visit unless an adult is supervising them."

And it's a move that's received a mixed response online.

While some believe it is a good idea that will help with safety and anti-social behaviour...

Weston Town Center is a popular shopping area with several restaurants, ice cream shops and cafes.

And it's often popular with teenagers on Friday and Saturday evenings.

But, as of last week, those teens will no longer be able to attend with a parent.

In a statement on Facebook, Weston Town Center Management wrote: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, beginning this Friday, April 2nd, the Weston Town Center will be implementing a "NO TRESPASSING NOTICE."

"This notice will be directed to all unaccompanied minors under 16 years old and will not be allowed on site without an adult supervision."

"We are hoping these measurements will assist in keeping our center a family friendly environment."

We're sure that's going to leave some teens pretty disappointed.
