A mom has given birth to a 12lb 9oz baby boy who is twice as big as the average new born...
He even was 2 feet tall.
It safe to say, people are astonished by this...
Now, welcoming a child into the world is an amazing experience.
The labor isn't so magical, however...
The labor of childbirth is known for being one of the most painful things that the human body can experience.
It is the very thing most women dread.
A combination of intense muscle tightening, abdomen cramps, pain in the torso and pelvic area, back pain, contractions from the uterus, and, eventually, pushing a baby out... It's certainly no walk in the park.
Labor is different for every woman.
Despite the fact that labor is pretty much guaranteed to be painful, it varies slightly for every woman; no labor is the same.
This can depend on the woman's genetics...
As well as her tolerance to pain, her body type, and her health.
But it can also depend on the size of the baby...
This is an important factor when it comes to giving birth naturally, because sometimes, it's physically impossible.
One woman recently shared her story where she revealed her newborn son was so long he wouldn't fit on the weighing scales.
Yeah, that's one giant baby.
Upon hearing her story, people were left speechless.
Although some had similar stories of their own...
Mom-of-2, Amy Smit, gave birth to her baby boy, Zagrys, on March 25th, weighing 12lb 9oz.
Zagrys, also known as Zeik, measured 2 feet tall making him so big that he wouldn't fit on the weighing scales.
Amy and her husband Zac were shocked at Zagrys size despite him measuring as long on their scans.
As per the Daily Mail, Amy said: "We knew he was going to be a tall baby, because all the scans showed he was quite long, and both Zac and I are around the six-foot mark."
"But we had no idea he would be that big."
"He didn't even fit on the scales when they went to weigh him, he was too long and wide. They had to make a makeshift plank thing to balance him on them."
Amy and Zac have another child, Lola, who similarly to her brother was also a big baby.
Born in September 2018, Lola weighed in at 9lbs 2oz.
But despite their similarities, Amy had two very different pregnancies...
Mostly in terms of her appetite.
"I just went off food. I never fancied any meals, I couldn't eat meat or anything," she said.
"During my first pregnancy with Lola, I was snacking all day long, I couldn't stop eating. But with Zeik I just had no appetite. And I just keep thinking, imagine how much bigger he could have been if I had eaten lots!"
Amy gave birth to Zeik via Caesarean.
"He was so big that it took two people to lift him out," she explained.
"There were all these really small ladies around me, and I heard one of them saying, 'I need some help, he's enormous'."
"When they lifted him above the screen for me and Zac to see, my first words were 'bloody hell'."
"We had bought clothes for up to 3 months, because we expected him to be tall," she added.
"But none of them fit him. I had to send Zac out to buy six-nine month clothes for him."
Now 2 months old, Zeik weighs 14lbs 12oz.
With Amy describing him as a happy and smiley baby.
"Zac has already said he's going to be a rugby player," Amy added.
"He's South African so he's really into his rugby, and with Zeik's size, he's already calling him our little rugby player."
