A 55-year-old grandma has shocked people all over the globe by going from a tattoo-hater to spending $35,000 of her life savings on tattoos that now cover 90% of her body in just 5 years...

They can become seriously addictive.

More than often, one tattoo or one piercing just isn't enough...

And many find that the fewer modifications they have, the more boring and generic they look overall.

Of course, tattoos aren't for everyone...

But many people simply can't get enough of altering their appearances.

However, some people can have a change of heart, which is exactly what happened to 55-year-old Kerstin Tristan.

She's spent a lot on her look...

Tristan has wiped out her life savings over 5 years, spending the equivalent of $35,000 on her ink, which now covers 90% of her body.

"I sacrificed my whole savings for them."

She revealed in a YouTube video, that she had gotten to a point where she "simply couldn't stand" her skin anymore.

Almost the entirety of Tristan's body is now covered in a floral, butterfly theme.

She used to be a cab driver, but now loves showing her body off on her social media.
