The extended Irwin family have slammed Bindi Irwin after she shared a "scathing" post about her grandfather...

Which has resulted in Bindi taking a social media break.

It's safe to say, the internet is divided about who to believe...

Now, we all know Bindi Irwin as the daughter of the late Steve Irwin...

And fans of the Irwin family from all around the world have taken joy in the last decade seeing Bindi follow in her fathers footsteps by working tirelessly at the family's Australia Zoo with her mom Terri and brother Robert.

And as you'd expect, this is where Bindi met her now-husband, Chandler Powell.

The pair met when Chandler, who's now twenty-four, was visiting the zoo while in Australia for a professional wakeboarding competition from the United States.

They have now been together for over 8 years...

And amazingly so, American-born Chandler exhibits the same passion for animals as the Irwins and he now works with Bindi and her family at Australia Zoo.

Well, last year, the pair decided to take their commitment to one another a step further.

On March 25th, 2020, Bindi and Chandler finally said their "I do's" and became husband and wife.

It was a small and private ceremony...

"We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We've planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn't have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however, it's lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos," Bindi wrote on Instagram.

They got married in a secluded location where Steve used to regularly film and Bindi opened up about how she honored her late dad on her special day...

Speaking to PEOPLE, Bindi said:

"Where we got married was such a special place to dad. It's a beautiful little area where he had filmed for many years. It felt really wonderful and just meant to be. We had dad's picture with his dog Sui blown up on an easel, so mom and Robert were standing right next to dad as we exchanged vows. We had a candle-lighting ceremony for him, and it really felt like he was there with us. It was a lovely moment of peace and happiness."

And for another special touch, she even kept her surname as a legacy to her dad.

Speaking to ET, Bindi said: "I’ve kept Bindi Irwin. I think that for me personally, after dad [Steve Irwin] passed away it was really important for me to feel close to him, and having his last name means so much to me."

And just 5 months on from their wedding...

The couple came forward with yet another exciting announcement.

Bindi took to Instagram to share this adorable photo of her and Chandler holding up a miniature khaki shirt...

Alongside the caption: "Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter."

She continued:

"We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light."

Her husband, Chandler, seconded her announcement.

He wrote excitedly: "We’re going to be parents!! We have a baby Wildlife Warrior on the way coming in 2021. Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life. I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife, @BindiIrwin. Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother."

Bindi's mom, Terri, expressed her joy, also.

She also noted, "I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."

A few weeks later, Bindi shared the picture from her first sonogram.

"The animal joeys we care for are excited to meet our human joey. Baby Wildlife Warrior is about the size of a hummingbird now! We can’t wait to teach our little one about the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much. Thank you for your kindness and support on this magical journey."

And a few weeks after that, she then revealed that they were expecting a baby girl!

Posing with an sonogram next to a huge tortoise munching on some pink flowers, Bindi wrote:

"Baby girl, you are our world. Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can't wait for her arrival next year."

And as for the bump?

Well, Bindi at first remained fairly private when it came to revealing her growing bump and she would only tease pictures that would show a slight silhouette.

But towards the end of her pregnancy, she decided to start revealing her growing body to her fans.

Bindi decided to stage the sweetest photoshoot that recreated a photo that Terri and Steve took when they were expecting Robert more than seventeen years ago.

Bindi wrote: "Recreating a very special moment. Third trimester love."

And it's honestly the cutest thing we've ever seen!

Bindi and Chandler were both glowing with happiness...

And it was clear that they were both super eager for the arrival of their daughter.

Well, their wait was finally over back in March...

Bindi and Chandler welcomed Baby Grace Warrior Irwin Powell on March 25, the one-year anniversary of their wedding.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, she wrote:

"March 25, 2021. Celebrating the two loves of my life. Happy first wedding anniversary to my sweetheart husband and day of birth to our beautiful daughter. Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler's family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad. There are no words to describe the infinite amount of love in our hearts for our sweet baby girl. She chose the perfect day to be born and we feel tremendously blessed."

Baby Grace is now almost 3 months old and the family have celebrated their first Father's Day.

Taking to Instagram to praise Chandler, Bindi shared an "appreciation post for the three most incredible fathers in my life."

She wrote:

"Appreciation post for the 3 most incredible fathers in my life. My dad, my husband, and my father-in-law. My dad taught me the importance of strength when standing up for what I believe in and to have empathy for all living beings. My husband amazes me every day with his kind and steadfast heart, his love for our daughter is infinite. My father-in-law works tirelessly for his family and is always there with a word of encouragement. These extraordinary men inspire me and I love them so very much."

An incredibly sweet post...

But it soon took a sour turn when fans noticed a name wasn't mentioned in the post.

There was no mention of Bindi's grandfather, Bob Irwin.

Fans began asking Bindi why on Facebook and she responded explaining that he "has shown no interest in spending time with me or my family."

"I really wish that my entire family could spend time with Grace. Unfortunately, my grandfather Bob has shown no interest in spending time with me or my family," she wrote.

"From the time I was a little girl he has ignored me, preferring to spend time doing anything else rather than being with me," she continued, "He has never said a single kind word to me personally. It breaks my heart."

"We have also been his financial support since 1992 when he retired from Australia Zoo, sending him funds every week," she added, "We built him a house on a beautiful property and will always do our best to ensure his wellbeing."

"I hope everyone remembers to be kind to one another but most of all care for your own mental health. I have struggled with this relationship my entire life and it brings me enormous pain."

Of course, fans were extremely taken aback by Bindi's claims.

And it seems the rest of the Irwin family were too as they've slammed Bindi's claims.

And now, people just don't know who to believe...

One of Bob's granddaughters, Bethany Wheeler, took to Facebook to "speak up."

"The time has come to speak up," she wrote, "I read some absolutely appalling comments by Bindi today! Feel free to share this post (I will make it public) as we have all been silent... for too long."

"He is a man who sits silently and battles his demons alone, in what is great sadness. He doesn't retaliate, only prays for his grandchildren's safety and good lives."

"He has inspired my journey and given me hope at times I felt I wasn't ok. I am one of his grandchildren living and growing up with his blood grandchildren. My sisters and brothers will happily back me up when I say that Bob Irwin is a passive and beautiful human and these lies need to stop."

Another of Bob's granddaughters, Toni Johnstone also slammed Bindi.

"What was written by Bindi was so far from the truth it's not funny. Poppy is the most caring, loving, beautiful soul and I am so incredibly lucky to have him as my grandfather. The fact that Bindi could write such horrible things about him and think that anyone would believe them just puzzles me," she wrote.

"All I hope is that not everyone believes and takes to be the only truth what this misguided girl has written about someone that every one should strive to be like in life at some point."

"Not only is poppy a amazing grand father, but nothing short of a perfect great grandfather that my son could ever have. He is so patient and caring with my son aswell as eager to pass down his knowledge to him, teaching him how to be gentle with animals even if it's teaching him the right way to pick up a grasshopper. This man does not deserve this!"

Bindi has since decided to take a break from social media.

Writing on Instagram that she needs "some time to focus on the happiness."
