Jenner Bush Hager shared a very emotional letter that her daughter wrote and sent home from summer camp recently.
During the Wednesday episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, the mom of 3 recently received what she said was the "saddest" letter from her 8-year-old daughter Mila, which she admitted: "broke my heart in a million pieces."
She then held her phone as she read a very sad letter from her daughter.
"Dear Mom and Dad, I miss you. I wish I could be with you," the Today co-host read, taking on a dramatic tone. "P.S. Daddy, how much longer 'til you pick me up? I miss you too much. I need to stop crying. So goodbye. I miss you terribly, Mom and Dad."
Jenna also shares daughter Poppy Louise, 5, and son Henry Harold, twenty-three months, with her husband Henry Hager.
After reading the letter initially, her husband considered bringing Mila home.
"Henry goes, 'Should we just go? Should I just go get her?' I was like, 'No, she's fine,'" Bush Hager shared.
Jenna found it so emotional when she dropped her little girl off at summer camp, saying: "She was like, 'Don't cry, Mommy,' and I said, 'I'm not going to cry'... I had on my sunglasses. There was something about it because it's the camp I went to as a little girl, so there was this nostalgia."
"Also, I got out of the car and she said, 'Mommy, I have sunscreen in my eyes.' But I knew she didn't have sunscreen in her eyes," she added. "It was just this feeling of... she's old! How is she old enough to go away from me for 3 weeks?"
Jenna also posted to Instagram sharing her family activities throughout the summer with her family, captioning the photo: "Photo Dump: LOVING summer so very much."
Jenna and her family also celebrated 8 years of life with their darling Mila not long ago and they dedicated a sweet post to her.
"Happiest Birthday to our dearest Mila. EIGHT years ago you came into the world fast and spirited — making me a mom — changing me forever. Your creativity, leadership, empathy, and heart INSPIRE. On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered, 'Life will never be the same.'"
The family bond is just too cute between them all!
