Earlier this week, Vice President Kamala Harris met with the South Korean president.
However, the VP has been slammed as a 'racist' after her actions upon shaking the leader's hands caused widespread controversy across the globe.
Here's the full story...
Now, for the most part, the new vice-president has been welcomed with open arms.
Harris, who is the country's first-ever Black and female vice-president, made waves across the country upon being elected back in November.
In her first 2 weeks on the job, the barrier-breaking first woman operated a lot like many of the vice-presidents who came before her.
"Let me tell you something," Harris told NPR shortly before taking office. "On every decision that we have made as an incoming administration, we are in the room together: Joe and I, the president-elect and I."
The Biden Administration hit the ground running...
And, just hours after being sworn in, President Biden signed a historic seventeen executive actions – fifteen will be executive orders, all of which will be major reversals from Trump's policies.
So, of course, their confidence levels are bound to be high...
And during her first major economic speech, Harris expressed them perfectly.
Many people were blown away by her speech...

She made many bold claims.
Harris told an audience in North Carolina that the administration's $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan is linked to Democrats' push for more unionization, as per The Washington Times.
She also said that taxpayer-subsidized home health care and child care, also in the spending proposal, should become a "foundational support system for our nation"...
And, of course, touched upon the response to the COVID0-19 pandemic.
She claimed that American's are "feeling a sense of relief."
"Help is here," she said proudly. "And hope is here, and things are looking up. Schools are reopening, businesses are reopening, grandparents are seeing their grandchildren in person."
"We are delivering real, real relief, and the American people are now able to breathe easier and sleep better."
However, the vice-president didn't mention in her speech the migrant crisis at the southern border, a problem Biden has delegated to her.
And the latest news?
People uniting against hate can strengthen our country. pic.twitter.com/V9EPPo0cPh— Kamala Harris (@KamalaHarris) May 21, 2021
Well, many people are unhappy with the Vice President yet again.
And it's all to do with her recent meeting with South Korean President, Moon Jae-in.
Today, I met with Republic of Korea President Moon. We discussed North Korea, global health, and how we can address the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle. We look forward to working with President Moon to address the challenges we face. pic.twitter.com/6NpvWQKpzH— Vice President Kamala Harris (@VP) May 21, 2021
Harris met with Moon Jae-in to discuss North Korea, global health, and the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle.
However it wasn't their conversation which left many people rather upset.
Instead, it was what Harris did after shaking Moon's hand.
After shaking hands with Moon, Harris appeared to wipe her hand on her trousers immediately.
Which left many to condemn the VP as 'racist' and 'disrespectful'...

Being a racist and committing an international faux pas is perfectly OK, if you have a "D" behind your name and support all the prescribed false leftist narratives. https://t.co/fKnfREKgVt— I identify as an 8-Time Super Bowl Winning QB (@HeadsExploding) May 23, 2021
Others, however, were quick to point out that we are still living through the midst of a global pandemic...
We are living in covid. I immediately wash my hands after touching someone else’s— Becks (@badbeckss) May 21, 2021
Some even said that they now wash their hands immediately after touching someone else's.
Oh please, actually I would have immediately sanitized my hands, why on earth are they even shaking hands, wiping your hands like that is pointless, the majority of the world including leaders aren't shaking hands or have they forgotten Covid.— Jane Seymour (@jane_hurghada1) May 23, 2021
FFS you’re joking right? Don’t know about you Rowan but there has been plenty a time i’ve had to shake someone’s hand who perhaps was a bit sweaty or I had dry hands and instant impulse is to wipe your hand. Seriously having to point that out is farcical. Typical SKY— LEIGH S (@sweet68) May 23, 2021
What do you think?
Disrespectful or completely justifiable given our current climate?
