Kate Middleton Reportedly 'Mortified' She Made Meghan Markle 'Cry' | 22 Words

Oprah Winfrey's exclusive interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was explosive, to say the least. Lots of dirt was dished on the royal family and the anger towards them is more apparent than ever before.

But it's the reported beef between Meghan and Kate Middleton that really got everyone talking, and now a royal expert has come forward with how Kate really felt about it all...

Now, it's the interview everyone has been talking about.

Following their controversial departure from the royal family, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, sat down with Oprah to give their side of the story.

Their 2-hour-long interview aired on CBS on Sunday, March 7th...

And viewers watched on in shock as some mind-blowing allegations were made against the monarchy.

For example...

It was claimed that senior members of the family had refused to get Meghan professional help when she was experiencing suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy with Archie.

Meghan also addressed that incident with her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.

Headlines were made in 2018 when Meghan allegedly "made Kate cry" in a row about bridesmaids' dresses in the days before her and Harry's wedding - well, in her chat with Oprah, Meghan claimed that Kate was the one to make her cry.

Though she did stress that Kate had apologized and that she had "forgiven her."

She also addressed the ongoing issues of racism within the monarchy.

Meghan claimed an unnamed senior member of the Royal family raised "concerns" about how dark Archie's skin would be before his birth.

"In those months when I was pregnant, all around this same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, 'you won't be given security, not gonna be given a title' and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born."

But Meghan wasn't the only one to spill the royal tea.

Prince Harry himself spoke candidly about his current relationship with his family and how he has been "financially cut off", which initially left him fearing for the future.

Harry explained that he "had to get out", though when he did he was "cut off financially" when he and Meghan needed help the most...

He also added that they've since been relying on his inheritance from Princess Diana.

"I was totally cut off financially. My family cut me off โ€“ if I didn't have what my mom left me, we wouldn't have been able to do this."

"All I wanted to do was keep my family safe."

Meghan then insisted that they never had any plans at first to quit the U.K - she said the intention was to "do this forever" and that she told the royal family to "use me as much as you like".

Later in the interview, Oprah asked how the prince thinks the late Princess Diana would have felt about the rifts that drove them to step back from the royal family.

"I think she would feel very angry with how this has panned out, and very sad," Harry said, "But ultimately, all she'd ever want is for us to be happy."

People are still reeling in the aftermath of the shocking allegations made in the interview...

And of course, the majority of the heat has been turned onto one thing and one thing only... the British monarchy.

The monarchy has been slammed for allowing things to get so bad for Meghan and Harry...

And many feel that the true colors of the royal family have well and truly been shown.

So much so...

That The View host Sunny Hostin called for the Queen to issue a public apology to Meghan rather than investigate the bullying accusations made against her last week.

Just for a small recap...

In the weeks building up to Oprah's interview, numerous accusations of bullying were made against Meghan from a couple of years ago, with it being claimed she had driven 2 young female assistants out of the palace with her "vicious behavior."

Buckingham Palace is currently investigating the allegations made against the former royal, according to the BBC.

And that's not all...

Well, Meghan's email to Kensington Palace about "that" rumour has finally been made public.

You know the rumor?

The rumor that the Duchess of Sussex reduced her sister-in-law to tears over a disagreement about flower girl dresses.

Meghan has always denied the accusations.

And now, Harper's Bazaar's royal editor-at-large Omid Scobie has disclosed information supporting the Duchess' claims.

The email is from Meghan asking Kensington Palace to clean up the rumor.

More specifically it says:

"Well, if we're just throwing any statement out there now, then perhaps KP can finally set the record straight about me [not making Kate cry]."

Worst of all...

Apparently Markle's request was ignored - with aides saying the Duchess of Cambridge shouldn't deal with gossip.

But now, Katie Nicholl has spoken to OK! magazine about the rift.

"'Kate has never wanted any suggestion of a rift with Meghan to come out in the press, so for this story to be circulating is very hard," she shared.

"From what I hear, there are different versions of the bridesmaid story, not just the one Meghan discussed," the royal expert continued.

"Kate felt it was all sorted, so to have it brought up again was mortifying. Kate is not in a position to respond and Meghan and Harry know that."

"This has been a very hard few days for Kate, but she turned up and committed to her work and duty last week."

"People did notice that she appeared downcast and subdued. Behind closed doors she has been saddened, disappointed and hurt."
