It was announced last week that disgraced Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey will be returning to the big screen and, quite predictably, people were outraged over the decision...
Including one of the actor's accusers.
Who has slammed Spacey's casting as "arrogant and irresponsible."
Here's the full story...
Now, Kevin Spacey is one of the most timeless faces of Hollywood.
Well, this was, of course, until the sixty-one-year-old actor was accused of sexual assault back in 2017.
It all started with actor, Anthony Rapp...
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Rapp claimed that Spacey made sexual advances towards him when he was just fourteen years old.
The alleged assault happened at a party in Toronto in 1986...
via: GettySpacey, who was twenty-six-years-old at the time, apparently laid on top of Rapp and tried to "seduce him."
Of course, Spacey claimed to have no memory of the incident.public statement, he said that he was "beyond horrified to hear this story," and, as it was over thirty years ago, he "honestly does not remember the encounter." "I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior," he went on to say.
This was the moment in which Spacey chose to come out as gay.
Which was heavily criticized - not because of his identity, but because of the timing.
Gay Times editor, Josh Rivers, told the BBC: "He doesn't get a pass just because he's gay."
More allegations were then made against the actor...Radar Online, in which he said that he was "forcefully groped" by Spacey in a Los Angeles bar in 2003.
In November 2017, a crew member from House of Cards then complained about a gesture and remark that Spacey made in 2012.
This lead to Netflix refusing to be involved with House of Cards further if Spacey was going to be a part of the production.
They also put a stop to the release of the movie Gore that Spacey starred in.
Things only began to get worse for Spacey...
Because to this very day, a total of thirty individuals have made allegations against the actor that came from both the U.S. and Britain.
He was removed from all upcoming productions that he was involved with and formal investigations were underway.
In December 2018, Spacey was then charged with the sexual assault of a teenager at a bar in Massachusetts in 2016.
But, earlier in 2019, prosecutors in Massachusetts dropped the criminal case relating to indecent assault and battery, which stemmed from this charge.
One of the accusers was a man who went by the name John Doe due to him wanting to keep his identity private...
And the allegations that John Doe made against Spacey were chilling, to say the least.
The lawsuit alleged that Spacey had grabbed the masseur's hand and had guided it to his g*nitals. He was also accused of grabbing the victim's shoulders and attempting to kiss and grope him. It was when Spacey asked the masseur to perform a sexual act when John Doe ran from the situation.
Of course, Spacey strongly denied the allegations.
But tragically, it was confirmed on September 11th, 2019, that John Doe - later identified as Kevin Fowler - had passed away. The Sun reported that the filing said, "No further information or details have been given to Mr. Fowler’s counsel (real name Kevin Fowler), but Plaintiff’s counsel stated they intended to notify the Court with additional information at an appropriate time in the future."
And following the terrible loss, the case was ultimately dropped against Spacey.
The announcement was made by the LA County District Attorney's office who outlined the reasons behind this decision.
"The sexual assault allegations cannot be proven without the participation of the victim. Thus, the case was declined."
Since this news was announced, things have been very quiet on the Kevin Spacey front...
And it's clear that the disgraced actor has been lying low at his Baltimore mansion.
Well, until now, that is.
Because it has been announced this week that Spacey has been approached to star as a detective in an upcoming Italian movie titled L'uomo Che Disegnò Dio, or The Man Who Drew God, directed by Franco Nero.
And even more controversially so...
The actor will reportedly be portraying a character who is investigating a man wrongfully accused of sexually abusing children.
When asked about the accusations made against Spacey, Nero expressed his belief that they are "false."
Reiterating his stance to ABC News, the director said he was "very happy" Spacey agreed to take part in the film and that he "can't wait to start the movie."
But of course, this news hasn't gone down well with audiences... at all.

Kevin Spacey being allowed to book a new movie role is a huge slap in the face to the people he victimized and abused.— miss chatelaine's abs (@cinema_gay) May 23, 2021

Well, ol' Kevin is not getting a dime from me. I only have a few films that he co-stars in as part of my Blu-ray/DVD collection, and I bought those many, many years ago. I have not watched House of Cards, and I'll gladly skip this new film. (Sorry to Spacey's co-stars!)— Fardreamer (@Fardreamer) May 24, 2021

And now, one of Spacey's accusers has spoken out about the casting choice.
Mark Ebenhoch claimed an incident involving Spacey took place while on the set of the 1995 movie, Outbreak, when the actor allegedly had young male crew members solicit Ebenhoch for sex.
Following the alleged encounter, Ebenhoch says he decided not to file a report with the police or launch a lawsuit against Spacey.
Upon hearing about Spacey's role in the upcoming film, Ebenhoch told TMZ his first thought was, "What the hell?"
He said he finds Spacey's casting "absurd," given an alleged history of sexual misconduct and the fact the movie deals with the same subject matter.
While Ebenhoch says he's still waiting for Spacey to publicly apologize and take full responsibility for his alleged misconduct...
He also hopes producers will make sure Spacey has changed his ways and prays the actor's alleged escapades with young men are a thing of the past.
What do you think about Spacey's return to the big screen?
Do you think he should be welcomed back to the industry? Or do you think he should have stayed away out of respect for his accusers?
