Kim Kardashian Goes Faceless in Balenciaga at the Met Gala | 22 Words

Kim Kardashian managed to turn heads in her Met Gala Balenciaga outfit, without even showing her face...

Last night, Kim Kardashian kicked off her arrival at the Met Gala in true Kardashian style ...

...By grabbing everyone's attention, of course.

Arriving at arguably one of the fashion industry's biggest nights, Kim was wearing a head-to-toe black Balenciaga ensemble, that even covered her entire face.

This year's Met Gala was in celebration of the Costume Institute's newest exhibition, In America: A Lexicon of Fashion, so Kim wore an outfit that included a T-shirt dress with a catsuit, jersey gloves and boots and a mask hiding her whole face.

She even had a matching floor-length black ponytail.

TMZ reported that the custom outfit was designed by Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Balenciaga, and encouraged by Kim's estranged husband, Kanye West.

Sources told the outlet that while Kayne did not attend the event held at its usual location at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, he did push Kim to be creative and grab people's imagination through art.

They also claimed that Kayne was the driving force behind Kim's look as it was he who first introduced her to Gvasalia.

The unusual look has, of course, divided opinions online as many people wrote they were "obsessed" with her look.

While others asked "why" and compared her to a locked character on a video.

"Kim Kardashian coming in as "Locked Character in the Character Selection Screen," one person wrote on Twitter.

Her outfit was a stark difference to previous years, the most iconic being when she opted for a beaded, sleek, transparent dress designed by Thierry Mugler.

However, this isn't the first time we have seen Kim rocking a faceless outfit, as she took to the streets of New York in one over the weekend. This just seems to be an extension of that.

Either way, we're on board.
