Kim Kardashian has found herself in hot water once again...
After she was accused of basing a level of her game on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Now, the level has been pulled as well as a statement issued. Here's the full story...
Now, we all know the Kardashians are an unstoppable media force.
Since Keeping Up With The Kardashians first aired in 2007, the world has been Kardashian obsessed.
And although the series is currently airing its final season after more than a decade...
The eccentric family continue to be one of the most famous and followed families in the world... especially on social media.
They're so much more than social media influencers, though.
Though it's certainly no secret that the siblings have stirred up their fair share of controversy over the years...
And they're never far from the headlines.
Take the repeated accusations of cultural appropriation, for example.
Fans have called out the sisters time and time again for donning culturally appropriating hairstyles such as cornrows.
Or what about the photoshopping errors fans always spot?
The famous family is often very open about the plastic surgery they've had done, but something that fans often point out is their excessive use of photoshop.
And who can forget?
In 2017, the world watched, appalled, as Kendall Jenner brought a social justice protest to an end with one simple act – handing the police officer a can of Pepsi in a very controversial ad.
As problematic goes, this was definitely up there (and of course, the ad was promptly pulled following the backlash).
But there's one sister who seems to land herself in hot water more than the others...
The second eldest of the clan and arguably the one who started it all, Kim Kardashian.
In recent years, Kim appears to have ventured off from her reality TV beginnings.
Similarly to her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, the star now runs her highly successful beauty empire, KKW Beauty, and underwear line, Skims, and has established herself as a successful entrepreneur.
She is also a huge player in the fashion scene...
And has certainly not fallen short of head-turning fashion moments over the years.
But alongside all of the glitz and glamor...
Kim has actually been attending law school while raising her 4 children in the hopes of becoming a lawyer just like her late father, Robert Kardashian.
So, all in all...
There's absolutely no denying that Kim Kardashian is one hell of a successful woman.
But this week, one of Kim's lucrative businesses has landed her in hot water...
After releasing a new level in her mobile game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood with a very similar story to that of Harry and Meghan.
The mobile game, which launched back in 2014, had a new level added earlier the week.
The new level was titled "Royal Runaways" and featured Princess Bianca and her husband Prince Aston.
The level spoke about how the fictional pair felt unwelcome with the royal family and wanted to quit royal life.
It also mentions a confrontation with the Queen and a sit down interview... sound familiar?
As per Indy 100, in the game Princess Bianca reportedly said:
"Prince Aston has done everything in his power to welcome me into the Royal Family. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about everyone in his family. The Queen is a symbol of tradition, but as times change, perhaps some traditions become outdated."
The object of the level was for the player to hold an auction to help the couple leave royal life while Kim deals with the press.
But after receiving backlash, it has been removed...
Some people have accused Kim of cashing in on Harry and Meghan.
Something Kim denies.
As per the Daily Mail, Kim was unaware of the level until Tuesday and immediately asked the game's developers to remove it.
A source close to Kardashian reportedly said: "She is disappointed that this happened and has requested an internal investigation to ensure that this misstep doesn't happen again."
Makers of the game, Glu Mobile, confirmed they'd removed the game to the Daily Mail.
They told the outlet: "We heard a lot of valuable feedback around our recent Prince Aston and Princess Bianca quest."
"It's clear we missed the mark with this, and we sincerely apologize. We did not intend to direct any negativity towards any particular person or groups of people. The content is no longer live in the game."
