Transgender weightlifter Laurel Hubbard, competing for New Zealand at the Olympics, is out of the competition.
Competing in the weightlifting final, Hubbard failed to lift 125kg, according to The Telegraph, thus ending her hopes of a medal.
The athlete has made many headlines over the last few months being one of the many members of the LBGTQ+ to be competing at the Olympics.
With a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Hubbard, she was sadly unable to achieve her dreams, though fans questioned some of the judge's calls on one of her lifts.
Despite the disappointment, she made a heart-shaped hand gesture to the camera and said "thank you" as she left.
Li Wenwen of China went on the win the top prize after lifting 140kg.
This is a breaking news story.
