According to a recent social media study, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is currently the most hated NBA player.
This might come as a shock to fans, but it seems LeBron has rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way!
Twitter data was collected as part of the Sports Insider study, which tracks negative hashtags tagged by social media users. Phrases such as "I hate LeBron" or "LeBron sucks" were used to collect the statistics.
All in all, over 70,000 hashtags and tweets were compiled in the data and it turns out LeBron is, in fact, the most hated NBA player in a whopping twenty-four different states.
Kyrie Irving came in second at eighteen states, James Harden and Kevin Durant got 3, and Russell Westbrook and Paul George tied with 1.
Now, it's not surprising LeBron has amassed both an array of fans and haters over the years he's been part of the NBA...

The findings correspond with LeBron's latest decision to change his jersey number from 23 back to No.6.
