McDonald's Meat-Free McPlant Burger 'Tastes Just Like Beef' | 22 Words

McDonald's has planned to make more of their innovative options available around the world and their latest venture means there are going to be more meat-free options available for fans of the fast-food chain.

What a time to be a vegan!

McDonald's has joined forces with Beyond Meat, a company that specializes in plant-based, vegan meat in order to create the McPlant Burger, AKA, the PLT - a tasty, meat-free option for those of you that aren't feeling a Big Mac or a Chicken Mayo Burger.

But the best part is is that it actually tastes like beef!

As more and more people make amendments to their diet, McDonald's bosses are hoping that this will help to provide a wider variety of vegetarian and vegan options so no one has to miss out.

And this McPlant Burger is also a good option for "flexitarians."

For those of you (including me!) that prefer veggie options but also occasionally eat meat, this option means we have the power to choose what we want when we want, because regardless, it's going to be on the menu!

The fast-food giant has described it as delivering "our iconic taste in a sink-your-teeth-in (and wipe-your-mouth) kind of sandwich."

They also added that "It's made with a juicy, plant-based patty and served on a warm, sesame seed bun with all the classic toppings."

What's not to love?

Some countries, such as Sweden and Norway, already have the plant-based burger as a permanent addition to their menus, but other countries, such as the United Kingdom, are only just introducing it.

So far, there hasn't been a date set for UK fans, but McDonald's is hoping that it will be available throughout the country soon with trials starting at some branches as early as the end of this month.

The McPlant Burger joins a growing list of other vegetarian and vegan options the company already has such as the Veggie Deluxe and the Garlic and Herb Cheese Bites.
