Meghan Markle is believed to be preparing an "aggressive legal team" to fight back against Piers Morgan...
It comes after she remained quiet while Morgan's countless claims unfolded.
Read on for the full story.
Now, we all know that the British journalist has had a personal vendetta against the actress-turned-duchess, Meghan Markle, for quite some time.
It all seemingly started back in 2016, just weeks before Meghan went public with her relationship with Prince Harry.
The pair went out for a drink together while Meghan was in London...
Great to finally meet you too @meghanmarkle. Just wished we'd jigged in @ScarsdaleW8. Missed opportunity. 😆— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) June 30, 2016
And it was clear that Piers was charmed by the Suits actress.
He later wrote a column about his conversation with Meghan, saying he wasn't "surprised he's [Prince Harry] fallen for her, or that he's so ferociously protecting their relationship."
"Meghan Markle is perfect princess material. Just put any proposal in writing."
Congrats Meghan & Harry.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 27, 2017
My friend will make the perfect modern bride.
ps Do I get an invite @meghanmarkle? https://t.co/bTSdS9V4RT
But it wasn't until Harry and Meghan's engagement when things started to go a little pear-shaped on the Piers Morgan front.
The journalist wasn't invited to the wedding, despite him repeatedly asking "his friend" Meghan on Twitter for an invite.
This is when Meghan supposedly "ghosted" him...
And Piers hasn't heard anything from Meghan her since.
Just days after Harry and Meghan tied the knot in 2018, Piers angrily penned his first of many abusive columns against the pair, accusing Meghan of "scripting" the perfect day for her wedding and turning in "an Oscar-winning performance."
The broadcaster even went on to admit his feelings were hurt from not being invited to the wedding.
"She ghosted me, Ryan!" he exclaimed when host Ryan Tubridy asked him what happened on The Late Late Show in September 2018.
"Meghan Markle ghosted me. I really liked her — this is why it hurts. She's just a slight social climber, I'm afraid."
Well, this is when things really started to get out of hand.
Over the last 3 years, Piers' clear obsession with Meghan has grown beyond belief, with his bitterness over her snubbing of him escalating into anger.
Alongside Twitter, Piers would use his position as co-host of Good Morning Britain - one of the most-watched breakfast shows in the U.K - to make his opinion of the Sussexes very apparent.
A report revealed Meghan Markle wore a pair of earrings gifted to her by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, who was linked to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi@Piersmorgan asks how that sits with her values?— Good Morning Britain (@GMB) March 3, 2021
Let us know what you think👇 pic.twitter.com/coZiA6mLAg
He even invited Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle, on the show numerous times to try and tarnish her name even further.
And just when people thought his obsession couldn't get any worse...
Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah aired on March 7th, which sent their critics - including Piers - into a media frenzy.
Piers was furious over what he heard in the interview...
*NEW COLUMN*— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 8, 2021
Meghan & Harry's nauseating two-hour Oprah whine-athon was a disgraceful diatribe of cynical race-baiting propaganda designed to damage the Queen as her husband lies in hospital - and destroy the Monarchy.https://t.co/H59yn123VO pic.twitter.com/4WqhBD45RU
And he viciously attacked Meghan on both Twitter and Good Morning Britain in a manner he had never adopted before.
From referring to her suicidal thoughts as a way of "attention-seeking" to laying into her for the way she dressed during the interview...
Lots of people on here want me fired for expressing my opinion on the Pinocchio Princess. If you want to join them, there are various petitions still doing the rounds from the last few times you've all tried, and failed, to have me fired for saying what I think.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 8, 2021
Piers did not hold back, which resulted in many accusing him of bullying the former senior royal, even after knowing the torment she underwent by the press.
His remarks were also criticized by his co-presenters and on social media, with ITV being called "hypocritical" for allowing him to do so while simultaneously running a mental health campaign.
People began arguing back and defending the Sussexes...
Agreed. I was annoyed, went for a little cool-down, and came back to finish the discussion. https://t.co/UzPWYkdmeE— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 9, 2021
Which on one occasion resulted in Piers storming off the set of GMB after weatherman Alex Beresford called him out for relentlessly attacking Meghan for "cutting him out."
People weren't impressed by what they were hearing...
Piers Morgan has tweeted about Meghan Markle FIFTY SEVEN times (yes I counted) in the last week alone. There is irony in the fact that he thinks Meghan is a bully but his own pathological obsession with a woman that’s wants nothing to do with him is quite perfectly normal— Joseph Martin (@JosephM14651318) March 8, 2021
And within a matter of days, more than 41,000 official complaints were made against Piers for his behavior on GMB... Including, as it was later revealed, one made by Meghan herself.
This resulted in Piers being advised to step down from his role as co-host of GMB.
On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions. pic.twitter.com/bv6zpz4Roe— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 10, 2021
But in typical Piers Morgan fashion, he wasn't going to go quietly or with any form of apology.
"On Monday, I said I didn't believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I've had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don't. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I'm happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I'm off to spend more time with my opinions," he tweeted upon the news of his resignation along with a picture of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
Meghan Markle has remained quiet throughout Piers' accusations...
But now, she's thought to be hitting back.

Take on @piersmorgan over what? He’s said nothing actionable— Mark H (@MarkHollinshea3) April 8, 2021

Great news! Piers is setting a dangerous precedent for angry old men to bully younger women under the guise of ‘journalism’— Anna (@Anna72279454) April 9, 2021
Meghan is wasting her money. Truth is an absolute defense to defamation. And malice is needed for defamation of a public official. No malice can be shown here.— flora (@HumbleGardener9) April 8, 2021
Good for her. He’s a stalker. Make sure he is left with nothing.— alegra fitzgerald (@alegrafitzgera1) April 9, 2021
Cant stand Morgan. But why can't he call bullshit?— Lucy 🌸🏆 (@lucy_sher) April 8, 2021
He doesn't believe her. So what? Does he have to?
Meghan Markle is thought to be preparing a "very aggressive legal team" to respond to Piers Morgan's countless accusations over the past few weeks.
Royal expert, Angela Levin, spoke on TalkRADIO with a warning of what Meghan might be preparing.
"Meghan has a very, very aggressive legal team and I think it's always amazing what these lawyers can come up with," she said.
"I think Piers is a brave man but let's wait and see."
"I think she will come up with something or they will come up with something really extraordinarily unusual which they will try to take the better of him."
"I imagine that the lawyers are working out if there is a sentence or a verb or something that Piers said that they could jump on. So I think it is a bit precipitous actually to say she hasn't come back yet."
