In last night's explosive interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a lot of dirt was spilled on the royal family.
But one revelation has truly shaken the world.
People worldwide have been left in a state of shock by some of the allegations made against the British monarchy...
Which was totally expected, of course!
But perhaps one of the most shocking claims came from Prince Harry after he said he had been "financially cut off" by his family...
And that he and Meghan have been relying on Princess Diana's million-dollar inheritance.
But that's not all.
It turns out Tyler Perry has also been offering his support.
Now, many would argue that, since stepping down as senior royals in January 2020, the scrutiny surrounding Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, has intensified to unimaginable levels.
In a joint statement via Instagram, Harry and Meghan announced that they wanted "a normal upbringing for their child" and they felt that spending their time between the U.K. and America would be much more appropriate for their family environment.
Quite understandably, this came as a huge shock worldwide...
As it did to the royal family themselves.
Reports at the time of the announcement claimed that the Queen wasn't notified of Harry and Meghan's plans to step down until after their social media revealation.

Her Majesty published a statement shortly afterward, which read:
"Discussions with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are at an early stage. We understand their desire to take a different approach, but these are complicated issues that will take time to work through."
But, regardless of the controversy, the couple stuck to their word and made the move to Los Angeles...

Where they remain today in Montecito, Santa Barbara, an area renowned for its secluded hillside estates that promise the utmost privacy and, thus, have attracted a whole host of celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Tom Cruise, and Ellen DeGeneres, who all own homes there.
The pair seem to be living the lives they've always wanted in L.A...

And to make things even more exciting, they announced on Valentine's Day that they are expecting their second child together with this highly-publicized photoshoot.
But despite the big move and step down, the couple still weren't content with their roles in the British monarchy...
So, last month, they announced that they would officially not be returning as working members of the royal family.
A statement from Buckingham Palace said the royals were "saddened by their decision" but that Harry and Meghan "remain much-loved members of the family."
"Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service," the statement read.
"The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family."
Predictably, the announcement triggered a media storm...
I'm a Commonwealth citizen - old enough to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh awards & wave a Union Jack. I'm young enough to see my country become a Republic. Meghan & Harry look like the Commonwealth. They are young, vibrant. This is the Royal Family's loss.

And among all of the love and support came the negativity and surges of criticism.
In the weeks following their dramatic departure, the couple remained relatively under the radar...
Until Harry took part in a widely televised interview with friend and host, James Corden, for The Late Late Show.
Here, Harry revealed - for the first time - the reason he and Meghan stepped away from the royal family.

When asked, "what made you walk away from the royal family?", Harry politely corrected him by saying, "I didn't walk away."
"It was stepping back rather than stepping down. It was a really difficult environment that I think a lot of people saw... we all know what the British press can be like! And it was destroying my mental health, I was like 'this is toxic!'"
"I did what any husband and father would do."

"I needed to get my family out of there!" he then said.
"But we never walked away. And as far as I'm concerned whatever decisions are made on that side, I will never walk away. I will always be contributing but my life is public service, so wherever I am in the world it's going to be the same thing."
"My life is always going to be about public service and Meghan signed up for that."

"The 2 of us enjoy doing that and trying to bring compassion and try to make people happy, and try to change the world in any small way we can," he explained.
Following this groundbreaking interview, it was then announced that the couple had sat with their friend and broadcasting giant, Oprah Winfrey, for a tell-all interview.

The interview aired on CBS last night at 7 pm.
But over the last few weeks, in typical Oprah fashion, small snippets of the 2-hour long interview were teased...
Which had been driving the internet, royalists, and fans of the couple crazy.
Well, the moment that the entire world has been waiting for came last night...
The interview was finally aired on CBS and, of course, it triggered a storm that nobody quite expected.
Some mind-blowing allegations were made against the royal family...
Meghan Markle was SUICIDAL and the royal family DENIED her mental health treatment, but she persevered and her openness will SAVE LIVES. 🙏🏽

Every 40 seconds, a person dies by suicide
Including the fact that senior members of the family refused Meghan professional help when she was feeling suicidal during her pregnancy with Archie.
But Meghan wasn't the only one to dish out the dirt.
Prince Harry spoke candidly about his current relationship with his family and how he has been "financially cut off", which has left him fearing for the future.
It's gotten people talking...
And many feel that this says a lot about the British monarchy.
But on the other hand, many have been slamming Harry for his words...
And have been claiming that he was the one who wanted this "financial independence."
While speaking about his family to Oprah, Harry explained that he had to get out when he did after he was totally "cut off financially" when he and Meghan needed help the most...
And how they've since been relying on his inheritance from Princess Diana.
"I was totally cut off financially. My family cut me off – if I didn't have what my mum left me, we wouldn't have been able to do this."
"All I wanted to do was keep my family safe."
Meghan then said they never had any plans at first to quit the U.K - she said the intention was to "do this forever" and that she told the royal family to "use me as much as you like".
Later in the interview, Oprah asked how he thinks the late Princess Diana would have felt about the rifts that drove them to step back from the royal family.
"I think she would feel very angry with how this has panned out, and very sad," Harry said, "But ultimately, all she'd ever want is for us to be happy."
But Tyler Perry has also revealed that he helped out during the couple's time of need.
Harry spoke out about the trouble's the couple faced while moving during the pandemic.
"Suddenly it dawned on me, 'Hang on, the borders could be closed, we're going to have our security removed, who knows how long lockdown is going to be, the world knows where we are, it's not safe, it's not secure, we probably need to get out of here," Harry explained.
But Perry came through, offering the three a place to stay plus security detail for three months.
This generosity "gave us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do," Meghan explained.
We can certainly see why!
For those who didn't watch the interview, it is currently streaming on CBS.com.
