A mom claims that she's been banned from her son's school after wearing an "inappropriate top", and she's not happy about it. But, she refuses to let it get her down...
Isabel Castro, a mom from Soledad, Columbia, was on her way to attend a meeting when she was confronted about her clothing choices...
A member of staff confronted the mom over her sweetheart neckline. The mom of 3 told the Daily Star that the employee told her that: "You can't come [to the meeting] like that."
They even went as far as telling her to "read the rule book."
So Castro had no choice but to go home.
But upon looking at herself in the mirror, Castro noted that she thought she was well-dressed: "I was wearing jeans and a blouse which is quite low-cut but far from vulgar."
The mom expressed the fact that she didn't understand why she has to be covered up just because she had children, which is a fair point. I mean, shouldn't we be encouraging children to understand that we shouldn't be sexualizing a woman's body and instead just learn to love our bodies?
It's safe to say that the mom felt "discriminated" against.
"I feel discriminated against because nobody has the right to point at, judge, or criticize another person. I felt well-dressed, the fact I have 3 kids doesn't mean I have to walk around covered up, nor consider myself ugly and dour without expressing my happiness. I've always felt pretty," she said.
Her husband, Cristian Caviedes, also criticized the school for harassing women.
On the matter of harassment, he continued to talk about women who suffer as a result of societal pressure.
"Think about all the women suffering this sort of harassment at the moment, for example in Afghanistan. And then you wonder how this school official wants people to dress," he finished.
But Castro hasn't let this affect her confidence.
With over 142,000 followers on her Instagram, she still shows off her beauty inside and out, despite this minor setback.
You do you, boo.
