A mom has hit back after she was criticized online when a man posted a photo on Facebook without her permission...
Molly Lensing and her 2-month-old daughter were stuck inside a Colorado airport back in 2016.
After hours of delays and multiple rebookings, a male stranger took it upon himself to post a picture of the mother and child and post it on Facebook.
In the photo, Molly is sitting with her cellphone in hand while her daughter can be seen lying on a blanket at her feet.
Molly Lensing was at the airport with her 2-month-old daughter. While sitting at the gate, a strange pic.twitter.com/HXwX3rbtyQ— The Beekeeper (@thebeekeeperman) October 3, 2017
The man captioned the photo: "Albert Einstein said, 'I fear the day that technology will take on our humanity... the world will be populated by a generation of idiots.'"
The photo instantly went viral, leaving Molly to face the brunt of it...
And she was heavily criticized and insulted by strangers for leaving her baby on the floor.
What made matters worse was that Molly only found out about the photo after it had been shared 65,000 times.
Molly became the victim of cyberbullying by strangers who didn't even know the full story...
And people continued to shame her for "ignoring" her baby.
Not long after, Molly finally spoke out...
"We had the unfortunate luck of being stuck in the middle of the Delta computer shut-down," Molly told Today Parents.
Molly placed the infant on the floor to stretch out when the photo was taken. The exhausted mom was also trying to reach her worried family by cellphone to inform them of the delay.
It just goes to show how you shouldn't immediately jump to conclusions and you never know what's going on behind closed doors.
