But 2 parents have faced quite a lot of criticism this week over their method of keeping their toddler entertained while doing the weekly shop.

Damon and Mary Rose are the proud parents to their baby boy, Liven James...

And they dedicate their joint TikTok account, @livenfamily, to all things parenting.

The couple, who recently announced they are expecting their second child, decided to share their grocery shopping routine...

And they explained how they keep little Liven entertained and happy during their weekly shop.

Sadly, the video attracted quite a lot of negative attention...

With some parents even slamming the mom and dad as "lazy."

​But thankfully, many rushed to their defense...

The TikTok video, which has been viewed more than 5 million times, shows Mary repurposing Liven's stroller for their trip to the supermarket.

​She drapes a large blanket over the pram with him sitting inside and hands him an iPad which is attached to the front of the pram, which plays kids' TV programs.

And when Liven behaves well...

He gets gifted with a snack and a small toy.
