TV host, Piers Morgan, has highlighted the "irony" of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle naming their newborn daughter Lilibet after the Queen, despite months of explosive comments made by the pair directed at the royal family.
The fifty-six-year-old took yet another swipe at Harry and Meghan after they went public with their daughter's name, a nickname the Queen had as a child.
Lilibet was born on Friday, with an official announcement made on Sunday. The news was a welcome break from the months of negative headlines due to their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, as well as Harry's appearance on an apple TV+ documentary series that he created alongside Oprah.
Discussing the arrival of Lili on Australia's Today show, Piers seemed pretty riled up by their choice of name...
Saying: "It's quite ironic, isn't it.
"You have this couple who have been trashing the Royal Family and the monarchy for the last few weeks and they have named the baby after the Queen.
"Maybe it's their way of reaching out, as the Americans say, to the royals and wanting some kind of end to this on-running feud."
Piers, who often critiques Harry and Meghan, then declared he wouldn't attack them over their news, despite his previous comments.
He said: "I always think when a new baby is born - I've had four myself - it's churlish to put any negative slant.
"At such a moment. I wish them all the very best. There are four in the family now. I wish them every success and a long and happy life."
Meanwhile, Piers took to Twitter to highlight the hypocrisy, stating the Duke and Duchess wanted to be away from the limelight.
The royal couple has been criticized by many for their work with Netflix, Apple, and Spotify all while slamming the press for showcasing their lives to the public.
Piers commented on this, posting to Twitter yesterday, where he sarcastically wrote: "To those asking for my reaction to the new royal baby, I am respecting her parents' constant pleas for privacy and declining to comment."

Piers has been the most vocal critic of Meghan Markle, with the host even walking off the set of Good Morning Britain after complaining about Meghan following her controversial interview.
He later quit the show, and many claim Piers has a personal vendetta against Meghan after she "ghosted" him when she grew close to Prince Harry.
