However, not everyone is convinced...

So, what is a Blood Moon exactly?

It happens when Earth's moon is in a total lunar eclipse.

The view in the sky is understandably striking as the normal whitish moon is bathed in a red or orange glow.

The last Blood Moon happened on Jan. 20-21, 2019, which coincided with a supermoon and the Full Wolf Moon, gaining the name Super Blood Wolf Moon.

Now, every month's moon is different.

And so...

Every full moon of the year gets a name.

But according to Australian astrologer, Rose Smith: "A lot of relationships are going to break up in this period - all signs, everybody will be affected - but fire signs will bear the brunt of it."

So, who's affected?

"There's going to be a great push for Sagittarians and other fire signs to get rid of toxic situations and relationships."

The cosmological event will apparently affect the fire signs: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius more than the rest.

Smith said women would be more "emotional" due to the moon's movements creating tension.

Despite the fire signs being most affected, the astrologer claimed everyone would feel the brunt of this moon...

"Full moons ordinarily can bring out the 'crazy' in people, but we can expect people doing crazier things than usual - and this can be attributed to pent-up emotional tension," she said.

"People should be trying to release this tension around the Super Blood Moon in healthy ways, sitting with their feelings and endeavoring not to deny them."

"Especially women, generally speaking, traditionally we hold in emotion and make excuses for other people."

It seems the water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces will experience a positive effect from last night's event.

The moon gets its name from all the flowers blooming in the northern hemisphere during spring.

Rose added that the upcoming mercury retrograde from May 29 to June 22 will have a big impact on people too.

Before another solar eclipse on June 10 followed by the retrogrades of Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.

"Mercury retrogrades are about miscommunications and misunderstandings in relationships and problems with technology - so back up your devices for one," she said.

"Relationships can also be tested - treat each situation anew. Don't let the weight of previous relationships overly influence you, thinking you know what the other person is going to do or say. It's important to give the other person room to move."
