If you love a juicy bit of karma, then this is the article for you.
One criminal has made a hilariously poor decision - and has gone viral because of it.
Technology is just great, isn't it?
In today's day and age, we'd be pretty lost without our many little gadgets.
And we wouldn't have this excellent story.
Because this is the tale of how a nifty little gadget helped to capture the identity of a wannabe criminal mastermind.
A man rented a BMW with a specific plan in mind.
He wanted to use the car to rob a bank.
And with the money he robbed?
Well, he planned to buy the BMW.
But, obviously, this genius plan failed.
All thanks to the banknotes' serial numbers.
It's an audacious crime, we give him that.
Just, maybe not that well thought though?
Fifty-year-old Eric Dion Warren was sentenced to twenty years for federal bank robbery.
He pulled up in his rented car, saying "This is a f***ing robbery. Play with me and die. I want $10,000 in 50 and 100 dollar bills now you got 1 minute or I will kill you."
"I ain't playing around, I only want 100s and 50s."
He then took his $5,086 back to the dealership to try to buy the car.
The official release says,"Mr. Warren was arrested with $5,086 in cash."
"The serial numbers of the money found on Mr. Warren's person were cross-referenced and matched the numbers of the bills stolen from AIM bank."
Maybe not the best idea ...
