The very last "strawberry" supermoon of the year is happening in just a few days, and it looks like we're in for an amazing view!
June's final full moon is called the Strawberry Supermoon.
The name derives from the Algonquin Native American tribes in eastern North America.
The Strawberry Moon can also be called Honey Moon, the Mead Moon, or the Rose Moon...
On the 24th we all get to basque in the splendour that is the strawberry super moon.— Aspie on Earth 👽 (@nightofsanguine) June 17, 2021
This moon is happening during a solstic, a time where we find ourselves face to face with great emotion.
Pain and hurt from the past may be ever more apparent during this phase. 🌕 pic.twitter.com/aKVGtxYU4z
And the appearance of this form of the moon was used as a signal to gather ripening wild strawberries.
This is the final supermoon of 2021, so be prepared for an incredible sighting!

The moon will reach the closest point to Earth during its orbit, meaning it will be bigger and brighter than ever.
The supermoon will reach its peak at around 2:40 p.m. on Thursday, but we won't see its splendor until later on.
wait i just found out the strawberry super moon isn’t gonna be pink :((— ًaddy 🫂🩹 || SUPPORT 📌 (@inmyideaa) June 21, 2021
This will be the most colorful moon of the year because of its low path across the sky, giving it an orange glow as the light travels through our atmosphere.
So despite its name, it won't appear pink or red. Instead, it will have a golden hue to it...
But it's definitely worth looking out for!
