Jane Marczewski, who goes by the stage name Nightbirde, has sadly had to leave America's Got Talent after her battle with cancer has "taken a turn for the worse."
The thirty-year-old singer from Ohio shared a sad update on Instagram on Monday and everyone was so heartbroken to hear it.
"Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true. My point of view this summer has been astounding," she wrote. "What a miracle that the pain I've walked through can be reworked into beauty that makes people all over the world open their eyes wider."
"Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the fight with cancer is demanding all of my energy and attention. I am so sad to announce that I won't be able to continue forward on this season of AGT. Life doesn't always give breaks to those that deserve it - but we knew that already."
In her post, the singer then thanked her fan base for supporting her through her journey.
"Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me. Stay with me, I'll be better soon. I'm planning my future, not my legacy. Pretty beat up, but I've still got dreams."
Jane received astounding support in the comments.
"Praying for you," singer Danny Gokey wrote. "Love you. It's been an honor to #seejanewin so many times, and it will be an honor to continue to #seejanewin," Melinda Doolittle expressed.
Others paid tribute to Jane in the comments with their heartwarming love.
"You already won as far as I am concerned," one fan said, while another wrote: "Putting your health first is so important and admirable, will be praying. You've done so beautifully and I have no doubts you'll keep blessing the world with your talent in the future."
Jane's stunning audition took place back in June with Simon Cowell pressing the golden buzzer.
At her audition, the singer sadly expressed that she only had a 2 percent chance of survival and that her cancer had spread to her spine, lungs, and liver.
The original song she performed left the judges in tears, with the audience standing for the beautiful performance.
The song, the singer revealed, is about the last year of her life.
"It's important that everyone knows that I'm so much more than the bad things that happen to me," she said at her audition.
"It's ok, It's ok, It's ok if you're lost, we're all a little lost and it's alright," she sang.
Judge Heidi Klum shared Nightbirde's post, along with a message of her support: "Nightbirde, we will miss your energy, your passion, and your beautiful voice at the live shows," she wrote. "The entire #AGT family loves you and we're all rooting for you."
Jane will be deeply missed in the competition, and our support and wishes are with her during this difficult time!
