Taco Thief Sacked By Doordash After Being Caught | 22 Words

A DoorDash driver has been sacked after she was caught out stealing a taco from a customer's order.

The driver was caught after the customer spotted taco dust on her finger in the proof of delivery picture.

User @katelyn8560 took to TikTok to prove the driver's guilty actions.

In the video, which has been viewed more than 1 million times, Katelyn explained that she placed an order from Taco Bell using DoorDash, but when it arrived at her door she noticed the bag was ripped open.

"I go outside and the bag is ripped open. Which is fine, things happen, it's cool, no big deal," she said in the video. But then, Katelyn checks her order inside of the bag, only to discover that one of the Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Taco had disappeared.

At first, she shrugged it off because after all, mistakes happen!

"Okay, also common, happens all the time. Not really gonna worry about it, I'll just go ahead and get me a little refund, call it a day," she said.

But then, she received a picture from her Dasher showing proof of delivery and in the corner of the picture, she noticed something...

"And then I get this picture from my Dasher. Y'all Tell me that ain't Dorito dust on this woman's fingers. Tell me, y'all! Tell me this woman didn't eat my taco now!"

Katelyn spotted crumbs, which she alleged were from her order, on the Dasher's hand. After sharing the video online, people have been stunned by the delivery drivers picture.

"She's basically bragging. Her fingers didn't have to be in the picture," one person commented.

"She didn't even wait till she dropped your food off to eat it," wrote another.

Door Dash has since confirmed the employee has been fired.

As per TooFab, a spokesperson for the company said: "Trust and respect in our community is extremely important, and we take reports of this behavior seriously. Our policy strictly prohibits Dashers from taking or tampering with customer orders in any way, which leads to immediate removal from our platform.

"We have reached out to the customer to offer our support and deactivated the Dasher involved."

They also added that the customer received a full refund as well as extra DoorDash credits.
