Since The Woman in the Window landed on Netflix, it's well and truly blown movie buffs away.
But viewers have been issuing a warning to those wanting to watch...
Now, it's safe to say that Netflix reigns supreme as the world's most popular streaming service.
And since it was founded in 1997, it has experienced nothing but unbelievable volumes of success.
In 2013, the streaming giant began curating its own original content.Netflix began launching its own content 6 years ago, starting with political drama, House of Cards, which has gone on to have 6 seasons.
It has since rolled out many of our favorite shows...
Closely following House of Cards was Orange Is The New Black, which just aired its seventh and final season, and is one of the platform's biggest success stories.
It was certainly responsible for an influx of new subscribers.
Many people signed up to the platform to watch the hit show, which follows Piper Chapman as she is sentenced to spend time in a minimum-security women's prison in Connecticut for transporting drug money 10 years earlier.
In more recent years, Netflix has been responsible for several other major hits.
Shows such as The Crown, Glow, and Grace and Frankie have all attracted huge viewership.
And, of course, we can't forget Stranger Things.
The sci-fi show debuted in 2016 and has since become one of the most popular Netflix originals on the platform.
The streaming giant truly has dominated the market.
Out of all the streaming services, there's no doubt Netflix is top of the game - with over sixty million paying subscribers in the U.S. alone.
Last week saw The Woman in the Window land on the streaming service and people have had a lot to say about it...
The movie, which currently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of twenty-nice percent, stars Amy Adams who plays Anna Fox.
Fox, while confined to her home in New York, is visited by a lady, Jane, who lives across the street from her.
She begins keeping an eye on Jane and her family, when she eventually see something she shouldn't.
And that's when Anna's life starts dramatically changing...
We won't give too much away, but it sounds like a good psychological thriller, right?
Well, if you're thinking about watching, then viewers have a warning for you...
If you’re looking for a movie on Netflix don’t watch The Woman in the Window, it’s terrible— Cara Lisette (@CaraLisette) May 15, 2021
Watched The Woman in the Window on @NetflixUK the other night. I enjoyed Amy Adams performance but the script was erm... meh 😕and honestly you can't beat the classics... #rearwindow pic.twitter.com/HApITcOLUj— Sinéad Doherty (@SineadDoherty93) May 19, 2021
So, if you were thinking of watching, it seems like the verdict is...
The Woman in the Window is very similar to Alfred Hitchcock's, Rear Window.
So much so, that it's even playing in the back of one scene!
And many viewers appear to favor Rear Window.
Will you be giving it a watch?
