TikTok Sensation 'Swavy' Dies Aged Just 19 | 22 Words

Just last week, TikTok sensation Matima Miller, better known by his username @Babyface.S (or as fans called him, "Swavy"), died at the age of nineteen.

Wendy Williams of all people received a lot of negative attention for her coverage of Swavy's death, and now Swavy's family have responded...

The Delaware-based entertainer's friend Damaury Mikula confirmed in a July 5th YouTube video that Miller was the unidentified male the Wilmington, Del. Police Department reported as fatally shot that morning as per the Delaware Online.

"He got shot and I just want to let you all know like Bro I'm about to take over for that n***a, all he did was make vids bro... vids, vids, vids," Mikula said in his YouTube video on July 5th.

"Seeing him get taken down like that... don't make me say this bro, it just doesn't make no sense. I f****** love you my n***a. Everyone's going to know your name."

According to the outlet, Miller was found with a gunshot wound and rushed to a hospital where he died. His death means he is now the 2nd TikTok star to die.

In the days following his tragic death, TV host, Wendy Williams, made reference to Swavy - but now many are claiming the veteran host should be 'cancelled', saying her comments were massively insensitive.

During her daily "Hot Topics" segment on The Wendy Williams Show, Williams first asked the audience to clap if they knew who Swavy was, which garnered a small amount of applause from an audience who clearly had never been introduced to his viral videos.

Then Williams told her audience Swavy had more followers than her on TikTok, juxtaposing her previous comment, inferring his 'lack of fame'.

Williams then turned around to look at a photo of the teenager on her screen, resulting in laughter from the crowd. Then Williams told her audience that Swavy was murdered Monday morning.

Now, Swavy's family have responded to Williams' comments with his sister saying:

@Wendyshow you should be disgusted with yourself. You couldn't even remember my little brother name. You seen he was trending and used him for clout.
Everybody already talking about him and you maddest even worst by putting out a false narrative. My mom can't even mourn because everybody is being so disrespectful about her child.
It's sad that you have to worry about getting a lawyer when she haven't even buried my brother yet. Y'all so insensitive...

The TikTok sensations impact was felt in his friends' and fans' responses on social media.

After friend Damaury Mikula's YouTube tribute in which he confirmed Miller's death, another friend, @II_destinyy on Instagram, took to her stories that day to caption a series of photos of her with Miller with "I love you sm to the moon and back" and "I just need a hug from you one more time."

Rest in Peace Swavy, you will be missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends in this difficult time.
