Donald Trump has decided to yet again discuss the shocking January 6th Capitol Hill riots and has insisted the rioters were simply "hugging and kissing" the police...
Which, of course, is completely false information.
Read on to hear what else the former POTUS had to say...
Now, the events from January 6th still haunt us to this very day.

As a joint session of Congress convened to formally count the Electoral College votes and certify Joe Biden's election win, lawmakers were forced to shelter in place and evacuate as pro-Trump rioters broke into the U.S Capitol Building.
Hundreds of rioters forced their way into the prestigious building...

The rioters took over several of the rooms and chambers in the building...

From this, more violence ensued...

The scenes shocked people all over the globe...

From the get-go, there were calls for Donald Trump to intervene.

The former president was repeatedly urged to appear on national television to order his supporters to stand down.
He instead issued a series of half-hearted tweets...

Trump's behavior resulted in him being banned from all social media platforms...
And, as control was regained in the Capitol and the cleanup began, an impeachment investigation was launched into the former president for the role he played in the riots. He was acquitted yet again for his actions.
It's been an unbelievable past couple of months...
And, as the months have trickled by, more and more rioters have been named, shamed, and reprimanded for their actions.
Security footage from inside the Capitol during the attack was presented at Trump's impeachment trial...
And it was nothing short of harrowing.
A senior aide said of the never-before-seen security footage:
House managers will show new Capitol security footage today. "We will be using footage never seen before that shows a view of the Capitol that is quite extraordinary and a view of the attack that has never been public before. You will see for the first time," a senior aide says.— Geoff Bennett (@GeoffRBennett) February 10, 2021
"We will be using footage never seen before that shows a view of the Capitol that is quite extraordinary and a view of the attack that has never been public before. You will see for the first time."
Senators also reacted to the surfaced footage.
Senators on both sides of the aisle were visibly affected by what they saw:
"It was really horrifying what happened. You know, I think the House team really put forth a very strong connecting of the dots. I don't see how you can watch any of this and listen to their presentation and not conclude that Trump bears tremendous responsibility for what happened," Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, told reporters.
In total, 5 people died in the riots that day...
Including 1 police officer and countless injuries reported.
This was a clear act of vengeance and violence by Trump's angry and scorned supporters...
And although it has since been proven that the riot wasn't a peaceful one, Trump still refuses to see it in that way.
Alongside refusing to take responsibility for the actions of his followers...
Trump has continuously played down the riots by insisting that they "weren't as violent as they seemed."
And more recently...
He's come out with some very bizarre claims about his supporter's antics on January 6th.
Appearing via a phone call on Fox News yesterday, Trump was questioned about the shocking events that were allowed to take place in the Capitol.
"It was zero threat, right from the start," Trump said, "Look, they went in and they shouldn't have done it... some of them went in and were hugging and kissing the police and the guards!"
He went on:
"You know, they had great relationships! A lot of the people were waved in and they walked in and then walked out."
Trump then mentioned Antifa, the left-wing and anti-racist political movement that has strongly opposed Trump and his policies as president.
Antifa and Black Lives Matter, Trump said, are "really dangerous... and truly hate our country."
