Vin Diesel Explains How He Honors Paul Walker | 22 Words

Vin Diesel has recently explained how he honors his late "brother", Paul Walker, in every Fast and Furious movie.

On the week Fast and Furious 9, F9, is set to release, Vin Diesel has spoken out about how Paul Walker's presence is still in the movies, even if he physically isn't.

"This film, you clearly bring up Paul and his legacy throughout the film, as well. He's never gone. He's never forgotten in this franchise," Natalie Morales said while speaking to Diesel on TODAY.

"Ever, ever, ever," he replied, "I never think I'm continuing the franchise in his absence. I always feel like I'm continuing the franchise in his honor."

Paul Walker, who played Brian O'Conner in the movie series, tragically passed away in a car accident back in 2013.

He was only forty years old at the time of his sudden death.

Walker appeared posthumously in a few of the following movies and even during the 9th installment of the film, his presence is still as impactful as ever.

His twenty-two-year-old daughter, Meadow Rain Walker, who is close with Vin Diesel and his children, recently walked the red carpet for the premiere of F9.

Diesel even named one of his own children after Walker, Pauline, who is 6-years-old.

When speaking about why the movies have done so well throughout the years, he said it's because the chemistry he and his co-workers have has blossomed into more of a family dynamic:

"That's ultimately what the true blessing is, work with people that you love," he said, "I believe, at the end of the day, people come to 'Fast' because the characters, we want to know what happens next. We want to know how they evolve."

After F9, the franchise is set to do one more which is currently in pre-production, and then that will be the last in the line-up.

"It's so surreal to come full circle and to see something completed like that," he said, "I don't often reflect back enough on stuff that I've done. I always feel like I'm a minute away from having to produce the next film."

It's truly incredible the impact that these movies have had on many people's lives.

Fast and Furious 9 is set to release on Friday in theaters only.
