RIP Adam Perkins. He’s been one of my favorite creators since the vine days. And to those who don’t know, he made great music! Really bummed to hear about this. And my heart goes out to Packie. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose a twin. I’m so incredibly sorry.— Danielle (@DanielleDCS) April 14, 2021

Now, there's no denying that we all know Adam Perkins best for his iconic Vine video, "Welcome to Chili's."
The Vine video, that showed Adam mocking the tagline for a series of ads for the restaurant chain Chili's, went viral in 2015 and turned Adam into a local celebrity.
The Vine gained over twenty million loops in a year and inspired a series of parodies and remixes...
And Adam, along with his twin brother Patrick, would often entertain their followers with Vine videos made together.
The brothers went on to pursue different paths...
With Adam becoming a business analyst and Patrick graduating from NYU with a degree in music composition.
Adam was also involved in his very own band and released his own music in 2018.
But of course, Adam continued to hold a strong social media following...
With almost 50,000 followers on Instagram alone.
But in more recent times, tragedy struck.
Patrick took to Instagram to announce that Adam had sadly died at the age of twenty-four on April 11th.
"My brother, Adam Perkins, passed away this previous Sunday, 4-11-21," he wrote in an emotional statement.
He then wrote:
"I can't even really put into words what this loss means for me. I'm often asked the question, 'what's it like to be a twin?' and my response is usually, 'what's it like to NOT be a twin?' Being a twin is a very central part of my identity. It's all I've known. And I'm struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world without him. My best friend."
"I love you, my best friend Adam."
He also wrote in his Instagram story, 'In this time of mourning, I am comforted to know how many people he touched. The kindest human I know."
Adam's ex-boyfriend, Kelton Elliott, also shared a tribute on Instagram.
"This past weekend my forever best friend and ex-boyfriend passed, and I've been devastated," he wrote.
"Me and him discussed how we'd want to be remembered after we died, and he said he'd like to be remembered for his art, his music. The second slide is a screenshot of Redwood Reverie, the track on Spotify he most liked sharing with his coworkers and friends. Last week he was working on more to release. Give his music a listen, and know that the artist was loved so so so much. The link in my bio takes you to his Spotify."
Adam's cause of death has not yet been revealed...
But it is expected to be confirmed in his family's obituary in the upcoming weeks.
Rest in Peace, Adam.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family during this terrible time.
